🍁 Leaf Collection will begin !

🍁 Leaf Collection will begin on October 19! The City is gearing up for the beginning of fall loose leaf collection, which will run from Monday, October 19 through December 4. Like last year, three rounds of leaf collection will be conducted on each street. A friendly reminder that yard waste bags will NOT be collected during loose leaf season. The final collection date for yard waste in Kraft bags is Friday, October 30. An alternative to leaf removal is to leave the leaves, a sustainability practice recognized for improving soil health and biodiversity (leaves provide habitat for beneficial bugs). Using a rake instead of a gas blower also helps avoid the release of pollutants, such as carbon monoxide and fine particulate matter, which impact lung health and attenuate noise that may lead to hearing loss.
