EMP JAZZ TRIO

THE EMP JAZZ TRIO RETURNS! The Saturday after Christmas, we’re bringing back some familiar faces and some seriously good jazz! The EMP Jazz Trio, led by drummer Evan Michael Palermo, returns to Speak of the Devil for another evening of great live music. One of the things we love about these guys is their willingness to take a familiar tune, pull it apart, and put it back together as something entirely different. Jazz standards? Sure. But they’re just as comfortable reaching outside the usual jazz songbook, giving unexpected songs some pretty inventive jazz treatments. Half the fun is recognizing what they’re playing and hearing where they take it. So, once the Christmas dust has settled, the wrapping paper’s been hauled away, and you’ve had just about enough holiday music, come settle in with us for some jazz and a proper cocktail.
